Dr. Chaker, a board-certified dermatologist, serves patients at his private practice – Dermatology Southwest – in Burleson, Texas. He and his staff comprised of highly trained medical assistants, patient care specialists, and licensed medical aestheticians who strive to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care and personal attention possible.

Passionate in making sure that each patient receives the very best in dermatologic care, the doctor’s practice philosophy involves developing a strong relationship with each patient in an atmosphere of courtesy and respect. He is dedicated to creating an environment in which each individual can feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire treatment process so that they may enjoy optimal skin health.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Chaker earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in Syria in 1981. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency at UT Southwestern Medical School. After his residency, he stayed at UT Southwestern to complete a fellowship in dermatopathology. Thereafter, he joined the faculty at UT Southwestern as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology. During this time, he also served as Staff Dermatologist for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Dallas.

In addition to having co-authored a dermatology chapter in family practice textbooks and having published several articles in medical journals, Dr. Chaker is board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is one of the 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
