Dr. Erin K. McCormick, a highly trained urologist specializing in urologic oncology, is proud to announce her practice’s commitment to providing comprehensive urologic care to patients throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Alongside her esteemed colleague, Dr. Michael J. Finger, MD, the duo offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of patients in the region, including those in Harlingen, Brownsville, San Benito, Weslaco, McAllen, and Edinburg.

The practice of Drs. McCormick and Finger is dedicated to addressing various urological conditions through a holistic approach that prioritizes personalized care. Their services include single incision vasectomy, circumcision, cystoscopy, urodynamics, Prostiva™ radiofrequency treatment for an enlarged prostate, and other minor surgical procedures, ensuring that patients receive the most effective and minimally invasive options available.

As the only full-time urologist in Cameron County certified by Intuitive Surgical to perform DaVinci robotic prostatectomies, Dr. McCormick brings cutting-edge technology to her practice. In her role as the DaVinci Robotic Committee Chairman at Valley Baptist Medical Center, she leads efforts to advance robotic surgical techniques, enhancing patient outcomes in urologic oncology.

Dr. McCormick’s educational background is extensive; she earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Irvine, and pursued graduate studies at UCLA. She obtained her Doctorate of Medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1990 and completed her internship and residency in urology at George Washington University Medical Center.

Board certified in urology and recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, Dr. McCormick is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Urological Association (South Central Section), the Texas Urological Society, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of Urologic Robotic Surgeons.
