With a broad educational background, Dr. Sheela earned his medical degree from the Spartan Health Sciences University, School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center, and finished his fellowship in gastroenterology at Yale University School of Medicine, one of the finest programs in the country. During his training, he spent a significant amount of time in basic and clinical research and has published articles in Gastroenterology literature.
Dedicated to clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
