Get to know General Dentist Dr. J. Anthony Kososki, who serves patients in Plano, Texas.

Dr. Kososki is a general dentist who has over 38 years of experience in his field. He is currently serving patients’ dental needs at his private dental practice, Kososki Dental, located in Plano, Texas. There, he and his staff offer pediatric, general, cosmetic & restorative dentistry, as well as dental implants, sleep apnea treatment, Invisalign, and sedation dentistry. Dr. Kososki has extensive training and experience, which allows for him to serve his patients with the most advanced skills and techniques in modern dentistry.

Dr. Kososki sets high expectations for himself and gives each patient everything he has got when they are sitting in his dental chair. He works with extreme accuracy, precision, and attention to detail. He also takes his time to ensure that each treatment and procedure is done at the highest standard of quality. 

Dr. Kososki earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed the Advanced Restorative Series at the Center for Aesthetic Dentistry in Dallas. Additionally, Dr. Kososki is a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Kososki is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. To earn a fellowship award, a dentist must complete at least 500 continuing dental education hours, pass a rigorous and comprehensive exam, and maintain AGD membership for three consecutive years. In 2018, Dr. Kososki was honored with “America’s Best Dentists” Award. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general dentist, Dr. Kososki diagnoses, treats, and manages patients’ overall oral health care needs, including gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and preventive education. 

Dr. Kososki and his wife of 31 years, Vicki, live in Plano. They have two sons, Adam and Austin. They are also parents to two Dachshunds, as well as members of Christ United Methodist Church. In his spare time, Dr. Kososki enjoys playing golf and working in the yard.
