As director of medical education for Mercy Health Muskegon, Dr. Grill oversaw the growth of the residency program from three programs to five, including the addition of two fellowships. He also led the Mercy Health Graduate Medical Education programs accreditation transition from the American Osteopathic Association to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
Academically, Dr. Grill graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. He then went on to perform his internship at Mercy Health Partners – Muskegon General Campus, and his residency at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center.
With years of experience, the doctor is board certified in emergency medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). The AOBEM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).
