Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Ambreen Ahsan, who serves patients in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Dr. Ahsan is a board-certified pediatrician, providing best and personalized pediatric care to a diverse patient population between newborn period to 21 years of age at S & A Pediatrics in Parsippany, New Jersey. 

“We strive to practice good medicine, integrating acute medical management, and strong preventative care. Our goal is to be like an extended family to our patients, a place they can trust, where they feel comfortable and confident” as stated on her website. 

With a passion for her profession, Dr. Ahsan is affiliated with Atlantic Medical Group, Morristown Medical Center, and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

Back in the early days of her academic career, she graduated with her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1995. She then relocated to the United States, performing her internship and residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Ahsan is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Among Dr. Ahsan’s various accolades include Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014), Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015), On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015), Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2020), and Compassionate Doctor Award - 5 Year Honoree (2020).
