DR. BENCHUAN GONG, MSOM, MDiv, MBA, MD (China), is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist practicing in Chicago. Dr. Gong is the founder and owner of Agape Acupuncture Agape Herbs LLC and is a practicing acupuncturist and Herbalist with over 20 years of experience. Dr. Gong received his medical degree from the prestigious Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing. He received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (M.S.O.M) from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine Chicago. Dr. Gong received his Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary and Master of Business Administration from North Park University at Chicago. Dr. Gong has also been trained as a master of Qigong and Taijiquan for over 30 years. He is trained in both oriental and western medicine. Throughout the years, he has developed a great passion and gained much experience caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients. Throughout this time, he has had experience healing people through medical treatment, formal and informal patients’ education, counselling, pastoring and researching. Dr. Gong treats his patients holistically with his hands (acupuncture and acupressure), mind (herbal medicine diagnosis and treatment) and heart (prayer and meditation). Outside of his practice, Dr. Gong lectures about Chinese medicine at the Xilin Chicago Northside Chinese School in Skokie, Illinois and instructs Qigong and Taijiquan at Christ Church Presbyterian Chicago.
