Get to know Orthodontist, Dr. Laura C. Davis, who serves patients in Morrow, Georgia.
A few weeks ago I posed in a photo with a patients on the day that we removed her braces, only to reveal the most stunning smile. Also posing in our picture was another stunning smile- her grandmother’s, who was my patient over 20 years ago. It was at that moment that I was humbled by the impact that our practice has made, not only on individuals, but on generations.
I have been practicing orthodontics in the Atlanta metropolitan area for over 25 years; in fact, I am proud to say that I am the longest practicing African American female orthodontist in the state of Georgia. I can honestly state that I have not worked one day in my practice, I just show up and do what I love, and that is making beautiful smiles. I am very blessed to have 4 offices, and incredible staff, and wonderful patients.
I attended Oakwood University for undergrad, Georgetown University for Dental School, and completed my Orthodontic residency at Howard University. I am an active member of the AAO (American Association of Orthodontics), SAO (Southern Association of Orthodontics), ADA (American Dental Association), and the GDA (Georgia Dental Association). Outside of the office, I head the Children’s Church productions and church special events; I am on the board of trustees for Oakwood University, Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, the Breath of Life T.V. ministry, and the event planner for my husband, DeMont, who is our county Commissioner. We have three beautiful children (DeMont II, Lauren and Ricky) and one beloved labradoodle “Winston”.
