Back in 1975, Dr. Kamthan graduated with her medical degree from Sawai Man Singh Medical College in India. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in internal medicine at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. She followed this up with a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at Charleston Area Medical Center, West Virginia University.
