  • Is chiropractic adjustment long-lasting?

Just like dental care, chiropractic care can help with back pain, but once you heal you need to have good spinal hygiene. How long your adjustment lasts has a lot of factors, but some people have relief for an extended time. READ MORE

  • Can I go to the GYM with a back injury?

ANytime you have an injury, you may want to give your body a chance to heal. Once your pain is under control and you are feeling well enough, we always like you to "test it out" and see how you're doing. You may need to lighten your weights, decrease your reps or modify, but at some point you will be able to get back into the gym. We want you back in the gym to stay healthy! Unless of course your injury is so severe it is contraindicative to your care. READ MORE

  • How can I sleep with a herniated disc in my lower back?

The answer I give to my patient is for them to get comfortable. Ideally, sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees almost in a fetal position is the best, but sometimes not attainable. If you lie on your back then put the pillow under your knees to take out the slack from your knees and keep your back on the floor. Icing will help too! READ MORE

  • How can you help with knee arthritis?

Sometimes adjusting the pelvis and the surrounding bones will help the knee track better. Shoewear and some exercises are also helpful. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractic treatment fix my bulging disc?

If you imagine your disc like a jelly doughnut, a bulge is when the jelly moves to the side of the doughnut when pressure is applied unevenly. Chiropractic can help alleviate the pressure. IT will not "fix" it, but it will help alleviate your symptoms and give you relief. READ MORE

  • How long is chiropractic treatment for back pain?

This is a tough question to answer as it is not a blanket answer. Each person has a different time with pain. Each person's lifestyle is different. We all have the same body parts, but we all react differently to pain and relief. There are many factors involved in answering your question: health history, mechanism of injury, spine health and compliance. Some people respond quickly, and some people take alittle longer. • Can I lift weights with a bulging disc?

Once your pain is under control, you should be able to exercise again. Of course with any injury, it is advisable to reassess your routine and always monitor your form. Without knowing more about your condition, I would say that each person's disc bulge is different and the level at which the disc issue is can vary so this can change the answer. READ MORE

  • How can I straighten my spine naturally?

Proper posture and ergonomics are always a great place to start! Of course, a "blueprint" or xray can show us what the structure looks like and then we have a baseline for care. Some things just don't straighten on their own, but we can help! READ MORE

  • Is surgery the only method to fix scoliosis?

Scoliosis has a wide a range of degrees and without reviewing your health history, x-rays and lifestyle, it would be hard to assess your condition. If your curve is past a certain degree, a neurosurgical consult is never a bad idea, but sometimes with a consistent effort of chiropractic, mirror image exercises and stretching, scoliosis can be halted or decreased. Age is also a factor. Once again, without knowing more information, I would be hard pressed to answer definitively. READ MORE

  • Can you help with a bulging disc?

I would love to say yes! My answer is maybe? Most disc bulges will respond well to chiropractic care. Without knowing any information, it is difficult to give you a definitive answer, but I am always positive! READ MORE
