Get to know Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist Dr. Bruce H. Albrecht, who serves patients in Englewood, Colorado.
“One of the most important things in life is family. I like to think that I am helping people build families; I look at every baby I have helped to be conceived and know we have helped the couples who desperately want to have a family.” as stated by Dr. Albrecht, a leading reproductive endocrinologist & infertility specialist. He is the Founder of Denver Fertility Albrecht Women’s Care in Englewood, Colorado.
Denver Fertility Albrecht Women’s Care prides itself on finding the root cause of infertility with the most affordable and least invasive method possible. The joy of planning a pregnancy and starting a family can be both rewarding and discouraging for hopeful parents dealing with infertility. For this reason, fertility specialists, Dr. Albrecht and Dr. Dana Ambler are committed to providing the most cutting-edge treatment modalities (in-vitro fertilization, intrauterine inseminations, pre-genetic testing of embryos, treatment of luteal phase defect, assistance with polycystic ovarian syndrome, and surgery, among other services) to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Dr. Albrecht’s desire to help people with their fertility journey was inspired by his own personal experience, as his family had difficulties with fertility. This pushed him in the direction of reproductive medicine over 35 years ago. Nowadays, he takes pride in treating each patient as an individual by customizing patient care to suit each woman’s expectations and needs.
In addition, he has initiated the Life Program for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) as a Center-within-a-Center. This program is one of the first of its kind in the nation and the only one at present being offered in Colorado. The program focuses intensively on assisting women with PCOS throughout all phases of their lives, from puberty through menopause.
The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He then went on to complete his surgical internship at Harvard Medical School, followed by his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. This was followed by a postgraduate fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Harvard Medical School Boston Hospital for Women.
Following his education, he became board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Albrecht is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside after the reproductive years.
Having been directly involved in thousands of assisted reproductive technology cycles, Dr. Albrecht’s statistics have ranked consistently in the top tier of the nation. He was given the title of “Most Compassionate Doctor – 5 year honoree” by Vitals.com and awarded “Top Doc” by 5280 magazine.
Despite his numerous awards, his ultimate reward is “the smiles on patients’ faces or the tears in their eyes when they find out that they are pregnant, and it’s a good pregnancy.”
