With many years of experience and success both in private practice and in academic medical institutions, Dr. Ramdhaney is and has been affiliated with Northwell Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center, Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, Beth Israel Medical Center and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, and She has a special interest in general gastroenterology as well as women’s health, hemorrhoid treatment, colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease / ulcerative colitis), and irritable bowel syndrome.
Graduating with her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Ramdhaney completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. She followed this up with a fellowship in gastroenterology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. Recently she became board certified in Obesity Medicine by American Board of Obesity Medicine.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF) and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), Dr. Ramdhaney is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American College of Physicians, ASGE Women in Endoscopy, and the Obesity Medical Association.
