Dr. Vence, the Owner of Vence Dentistry in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, has dedicated over 35 years to working with thousands of patients. He has achieved remarkable outcomes through a blend of dental expertise and a collaborative, empathetic approach.

In his dental practice, Dr. Vence delights in applying established principles alongside contemporary techniques to address the true causes of his patients’ issues. What truly sets his office apart is the genuine connection he and his team forge with patients, aiming to help them achieve enduring oral health throughout their lives. Dr. Vence takes particular joy in witnessing the growth of his assistants, hygienists, treatment coordinator, and office manager as they evolve into dedicated helpers for their patients.

His journey into dentistry began 46 years ago when he started working in his dad’s lab during 8th grade. Influenced by his mom’s artistic inclinations, Dr. Vence consistently engaged in art projects, and the combination of his love for science and artistic influence pointed him toward dentistry. Over time, he developed a strong desire to enhance the elegance of teeth through the restorative process.

He has had manuscripts published in Quintessence of Dental Technology, Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry, The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Compendium, The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and The Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry In July 2023 the book he co-edited with George Mandelaris  “Surgically Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy” was released. 

Among his professional dental affiliations, Dr. Vence is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and  the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and founder of the Chicago Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy
