Get to know General Dentist Dr. Anshu Jain, who serves patients in Murphy, Texas.

Having always envisioned a suburban life with a practice that builds long-lasting relationships, Dr. Jain is living out her dream. She is currently serving patients’ dental needs at her private dental practice – Smiles at Murphy – in Murphy, Texas. “Our number one priority is giving you the healthy, beautiful, head-turning smile you’ve always dreamed of. At Smiles at Murphy, we know our first job is to listen. At your initial consultation, our attentive team will help you develop a plan that will serve as your lifelong oral health road map. From that point on, our highly trained doctor, hygienist, and assistants will utilize the latest dental technology and personalized care to create and maintain a healthy mouth and a beautiful smile” as stated on the dental practice’s website. 

After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University in 2007, Dr. Jain went on to complete a two-year associate fellowship with the Academy of Gp Orthodontics. This enabled her to be able to provide orthodontic services in the office to both adults and children. Additionally, she is a graduate of Dental Implant Continuum, which trains general dentists to perform dental implant surgeries.

Attributing her success to her honest and genuine concern for her patients and continued education, Dr. Jain feels that experience is the key to providing precise, yet comfortable dental services. She continues to attend numerous post-graduate training courses and lectures, as well as to collaborate with other dentists to share ideas and experiences. She is also a member of many renowned dental organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Gp Orthodontics, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. A general dentist is a primary care dental provider. They diagnose, treat, and manage patients’ overall oral health care needs, including gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and preventive education. 

“One of the most fulfilling parts of dentistry for me is that it is a medley of art and science. From the beginning of my early days in dental school, I knew that I wanted to incorporate my artistic talents into my dental practice and create truly dazzling smiles. My favorite part of a patient’s visit is the one-on-one discussion we have about treatment options. It gives me the opportunity to understand my patient’s need in-depth and it also educates them about the various routes to a perfect oral health” as stated by Dr. Jain.

In regards to her personal life, she lives in Murphy with her husband and their daughter. She keeps herself involved in the community by being a proud sponsor of events such as Murphy Maize day, Murphy Mavericks 5k, Plano East Cheer or Veteran’s Day celebrations, and continues to be an active member of the Murphy Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time, Dr. Jain enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite place to vacation is in Prague. A few years ago, she picked up running and now, she participates in many 5K, 10K and 15K runs on a continued basis.
