Dr. Bernbeck graduated from medical school in Cologne, Germany in 1990. Upon relocating to the United States, she earned a second medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 1992. She then went on to complete her residency in family practice at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, generally considered one of the top programs in Southern California. Upon completion, she pursued sub-specialty training in women’s health and obstetrics prior to entering private practice.
Dr. Bernbeck has been selected one of California’s favorite physicians and awarded the Patients’ Choice Award for 2010 and 2011. In addition to English, Dr. Bernbeck speaks German and Spanish. She attributes her success to her genuine care for her patients. Her favorite place to vacation is Catalina. In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, running, reading, and riding the family horse. Dr. Bernbeck is married. She and her husband have two children.
