At the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, Dr. Kokkosis holds many roles, including Associate Professor of Surgery, Program Director of Vascular and Endovascular Residency, and Director of Carotid Interventions, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of vascular surgery. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of prestigious vascular surgery societies, including the International Society of Vascular Surgery and the Peripheral Society of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Kokkosis upholds the highest standards of professional excellence in her practice.

Her commitment to advancing the field is further underscored by her prolific research contributions. Dr. Kokkosis has authored numerous publications and presentations on arterial, carotid, and venous diseases, and is the principal investigator for clinical trials aimed at the treatment of venous disease.

Recognized with several awards for her academic and clinical endeavors, Dr. Kokkosis received her MD with Recognition in Research from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in 2009. In 2010, she earned the First-Place Award for her oral presentation on the “Role of Accessory Saphenous Veins in Patients with Chronic Venous Disease” at LIVE 2010 in Corfu, Greece. The following year, Dr. Kokkosis was awarded Second Place for her poster presentation on the “Experience of HeRO Dialysis Graft Placement in a Challenging Population” at the Veith Symposium. In 2017, she was honored with the Fabio Giron Teaching Award from the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Stony Brook Medicine.
