Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Hashmi completed medical school at Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in nephrology at the West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown.
Following his education, the doctor became board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
