She developed a method that is faster and safer than standard techniques. It also optimizes the viability of the fat cells.
A graduate of the prestigious Medical School at McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1997. Dr. Hagarty went on to study general surgery at McGill and then further to Plastic Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Following her training, she was board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in General Surgery in 2002, and in Plastic Surgery in 2007. She was also board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2008, and recertified in 2018. The ABPS is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Through ABMS, the boards work together to establish common standards for physicians to achieve and maintain board certification. The boards were founded by their respective specialties to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training and professional requirements.
