Colliers, West Virginia – With over a decade of dedicated service in the medical field, Jesamyn L. Fuscardo, DO, stands out as a prominent emergency room physician and the Assistant Director of the Emergency Department at Team Health, LLP. Since joining the team in 2015, Dr. Fuscardo has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to patient care that has significantly impacted her community.

In her role, Dr. Fuscardo oversees critical administrative functions, including staff scheduling, quality improvement initiatives, and an end-of-life care committee. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to high standards of patient care have established her as a respected leader within the department. One of Dr. Fuscardo’s most cherished achievements is her ability to connect with patients, ensuring they feel at ease while gathering essential information for effective treatment.

Dr. Fuscardo’s medical journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Marshall University in 2007, followed by her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. Her commitment to excellence was recognized early on during her internship and residency in emergency medicine at Ohio Valley Medical Center, where she was honored as Intern of the Year in 2012 and served as Chief Resident in her final year.

As a licensed practitioner and board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Fuscardo is recognized by the West Virginia Board of Osteopathic Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. Her expertise encompasses the critical treatment of acutely ill patients, including advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and managing other life-threatening medical issues, positioning her as a leading figure in her field.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Fuscardo co-founded MOMance, an empowering initiative that supports women and new mothers in their physical and mental health journeys. She provides invaluable resources through this organization, reinforcing her commitment to holistic healthcare and community wellness.

Inspired by her father, Dr. Mitchell Fuscardo, DO, and supported by her mother, Julie Yingst, Dr. Fuscardo is driven by a vision of transforming healthcare in her community. She aspires to become the Director of the Emergency Department and establish an urgent care facility in her father’s name, with the long-term goal of creating a network of facilities to enhance access to quality healthcare.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Fuscardo enjoys a fulfilling family life with her husband, Mr. Bruce Marshall, Jr., and their three beautiful children. Her dedication to her profession and her family exemplifies the balance many strive to achieve in today’s fast-paced world.
