Upon graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1992, Dr. Simony was invited to return as a prosthodontic instructor for the school. He completed an internship at the Peter Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida in 1993. Years later, in 2001, he completed the F.O.R.C.E. International Orthodontic internship in Birmingham, Michigan. 

He was the first dental student ever to receive an honorary Concurrent Resolution by the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate in honor of his research and lecture presentation to health professionals across the state. His award-winning presentation topic was on the oral manifestations of AIDS.

With a strive to keep on the forefront of technology and development in his field, Dr. Simony is a certified Invisalign provider. Invisalign is a form of braces that use clear tray aligners. They are made of Invisalign’s own blend of plastic, and manufactured in their own facilities based on molds of one’s mouth.
