A board certified medical oncologist, Dr. Gaikazian joined Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in 2022, bringing more than ten years of experience treating a wide variety of solid tissue tumors, hematologic malignancies, and benign hematologic disorders. She provides care to patients at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute – Estero Cancer Center and at Fort Myers Cancer Center – Colonial Office.
Prior to joining Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, she provided oncology care in private practice with Cancer Care Associates in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Gaikazian received her Medical Degree from Yerevan State Medical University in Yerevan, Armenia. She then relocated to the United States, completing a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology with Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, and participated in numerous medical education and practice improvement initiatives.
Subsequent to her training, the doctor attained board certification in both medical oncology and hematology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
