Originally from Cache Valley in northern Utah, he graduated from Brigham Young University and earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1998. Shortly thereafter, he moved with his family to Fallbrook, located in the San Diego North County area. For 23 years, he practiced in the ‘Avocado Capital’ of the world before relocating to Orange County to practice in San Clemente.

Along with providing general and family dental care, Dr. Sorge has furthered his career by studying advances in cosmetic dentistry, implantology (dental implants), orthodontics (braces), TMJ disorders and dental sleep medicine. He has lectured to various medical and dental organizations. He has taken part in humanitarian projects from Oregon to California to the islands of the South Pacific.

Holding membership status, he is an active member of several professional affiliations, including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Happily married, he and his wife, Katherine, have four children and two grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, golfing, hiking, and snorkeling. In quieter times, he can be found with a good book or puzzle.
