Upon successful completion of the requirements set forth by the United States Medical Licensing Examination Authority, he pursued his residency training at San Juan City Hospital and VA in Puerto Rico, which has led him to become fluent in more than 3 languages while earning his certification of internal medicine.

After extensive studying and practice in various medical realms, he is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Nationally recognized because of his outstanding work in the medical community, Dr. Romeus has privileges in several community hospitals and has been awarded Best Physician Awards on numerous occasions by other fellow physicians. His medical expertise has led him to be sought out as a mentor by multiple teaching institutions, mentoring medical students and nurse practitioners.

Despite his demanding schedule, he still finds the time to give back to his community in Haiti through organized medical missions, and locally as well, through educational seminars, health screenings at several religious establishments and many other community events.
