Get to know Dentist Dr. William R. Romero, who serves patients in West New York, New Jersey.

Dr. Romero is a dentist who has vast expertise in dental implants, periodontal surgery, and wisdom tooth extraction. He is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Blvd East Dental in West New York, New Jersey. The dental professionals at Blvd East Dental provide a range of procedures that will produce a beautiful smile – one that each patient will be satisfied with. “What makes me smile about working here is the environment. It’s so warm and I always look forward to coming here and seeing my patients” as stated by Dr. Romero. 

Dr. Romero is a member of the American Dental Association and the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Romero graduated with honors from the dental school of the University of Cartagena in 1989. After graduation, he began working as a general practitioner for the Health Center of the Sincelejo Regional Hospital. In this position, he was honored with an “Employee of the Year” award. 

Dr. Romero opened his own private practice which was successful for six years until 1995. He then decided to go to Brazil and specialize in periodontics at the State University of Campinas-Sao Paulo. Two years later, he began to concentrate on oral implantology at the Dental Prevention Center in Bogota, Colombia. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Romero earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2011.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. “I can honestly say that the satisfaction that comes with serving the community and taking care of their oral health needs is second to none. These experiences have given me a great deal of personal gratification as I thoroughly enjoy playing a crucial role in the health care of my community. I love helping people maintain and improve their oral health appearance and overall quality of life” as stated by Dr. Romero.
