Recognized for his compassion and artistry, Dr. Afrooz is an acclaimed Board Certified facial plastic surgeon serving an international patient base from his Miami office.

A consummate professional in the art of plastic surgery, Dr. Afrooz specializes in deep plane facelifts, deep neck lifts, rhinoplasty, and complex revision rhinoplasty. Dr. Afrooz is globally sought after as a facelift expert, in part because his deep plane face and neck lift involves a dual-pronged approach that imparts natural and long-lasting results. “I independently re-drape and resuspend the superficial layer of skin as well as the underlying muscular infrastructure known as the ‘SMAS’, and I also often work in the deeper layers of the neck to remove unwanted fullness which otherwise causes unwanted sagging and volume in the neck. Then I take the extra step of harvesting fat and performing fat grafting to restore youthful volume to the face. This dual-pronged approach to my deep face and neck lift is arduous and exhaustive, but this extra investment of time and effort yields extraordinary and durable results,” explains Dr. Afrooz.

Graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, Dr. Afrooz went on to earn his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He then completed his residency in plastic surgery at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, well known amongst plastic surgeons as one of the oldest and most prestigious plastic surgery training programs in the world. Following residency, he was selected for a fellowship at the esteemed Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, one of the most highly-coveted and competitive aesthetic fellowships in the country. Dr. Afrooz was selected from a large pool of national candidates on the merits of his research, technical skill, and the recommendation of his mentors and peers.

Dr. Afrooz is Board Certified in plastic surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Recognized as one of the best facial plastic surgeons in the United States, Dr. Afrooz has served as invited faculty for the Cutting Edge Aesthetic Surgery Symposium, the Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting, and travels as far as China and South Africa to lecture on his facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty techniques. He continues to serve as an annual faculty member for the Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium, the most prestigious rhinoplasty educational symposium in the world. 

Dr. Afrooz is a proud member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society, and The Rhinoplasty Society–an exclusive membership reserved for the world’s very best rhinoplasty surgeons.

Despite his busy private practice, Dr. Afrooz has authored 30+ articles and chapters on subjects such as the deep plane and SMAS facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty in peer-reviewed publications, including the industry leading Journal of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. In 2021, Dr. Afrooz co-authored the acclaimed textbook “Masters of Cosmetic Surgery” which explores advanced techniques for popular facial procedures.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Afrooz enjoys spending time with his family, including his bulldog, and playing rock n’ roll on his guitar. 

His office is multilingual, serving patients speaking English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Hebrew. Insurance is not accepted but various financing tools are available, including PatientFi, CareCredit and Alphaeon. Virtual consultations are available for out-of-town patients.
