Dr. Ratcliffe is a diligent and caring interventional cardiologist serving the community of Brooklyn, New York at Sorin Medical, PC. He has a particular expertise in the endovascular treatment of peripheral artery disease and performs many of these procedures in a specialized  office-based setting. 

In affiliation with Mount Sinai Morningside hospital, he pursues many academic interests and serves as the Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.  His primary concern is the health and well-being of his patients and his goal is to consistently provide high quality care that leads to positive and lasting health outcomes.

Following the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004, Dr. Ratcliffe went on to obtain his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2008. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Furthermore,  he has earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Columbia University in 2020.

A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), the doctor also holds specialty board certifications in adult echocardiography (through the National Board of Echocardiography), nuclear cardiology (through the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology), as well as vascular ultrasound and endovascular medicine (through the American Board of Vascular Medicine). 

Emphasizing the importance of heart health, he is also board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Interventional cardiology is the subspecialty of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter-based treatment of heart diseases. The field includes the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, vascular disease, and acquired structural heart disease. An interventional cardiologist is a cardiologist with one to two years of additional education and training in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease, as well as congenital and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting.
