Serving as a Medical Oncologist for over 25 years, and serving as Medical Oncology Medical Director for the Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute for the Central, East and Northwest Region, she has been instrumental in advancing the understanding and treatment of cancer in the community as well as providing Leadership representing patient and physician needs.
With a distinguished background in medicine and a wealth of experience, she has solidified her position as a respected authority in oncology. Her journey in the medical field began at Seth GS Medical College, where she earned her M.B.B.S in medicine from 1979 to 1984.
Having graduated from Yale University with a medical oncology and hematology fellowship in 1997, Dr. Nadkarni has continuously strived for excellence in her field. Her dedication to learning and growth has been evident throughout her career, culminating in her board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
She has held various Leadership positions at Midstate Medical Center as well in Hartford Healthcare. She is a Past President of the Medical Staff and currently is a Medical Director and part of the Cancer Institute Leadership Team.
Her expertise and dedication have earned her the trust and admiration of both her colleagues and the community at large. She has received Leadership Awards at Midstate and also has received the CHA Healthcare Hero Award in 2015.
She strives to provide personalized compassionate care to all patients that she serves.
