  • Breast reduction stitches?

Occasionally, stitches that are buried under the skin can work their way to the surface and become irritating. This doesn't necessarily mean there is any problem. I would encourage you to follow up with your surgeon for evaluation to rule out any infection or other concerning issues that can arise in the postoperative setting. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Is it normal to feel breast implants move?

In some situations, yes, it is normal to feel breast implants move. If the pocket is larger than the implant, the implant can slide within that pocket. This can provide the appearance of a natural breast if the movement is small as natural breast move and slide. If the movement of the implant results in an abnormal appearing breast or the movement is bothersome and excessive, then I encourage you to see a board-certified plastic surgeon as the implant may be flipping upside down or you may have implant malposition. • How long do you wear a compression garment after an arm lift?

I usually recommend compression garment use for 3 months after a procedure to allow the majority of the swelling to resolve. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Does loose skin go away?

No, loose skin does not go away. It has to be surgically removed. I like to explain it as though you were getting a dress or a suit tailored. In order for the dress or suit to fit perfectly, you have to trim away the excess material. Same thing for skin. I encourage to make an appointment to discuss your options today! • How long does Brazilian butt lift last?

In theory a Brazilian butt lift can last as long as you live. The fat transferred is your own tissue, which means that it will grow and shrink as you go through life just like fat on other parts of your body. Over time, pressure can affect the viability of the transferred fat, just like pressure can affect other parts of the body. Also, over time, fat is resorbed and redistributed. These changes may make it appear as though the butt lift does last; however, these are just the changes that come with time. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Why is a Brazilian bum lift so dangerous?

Overall, a Brazilian butt lift is a very safe procedure when done with caution. The danger comes from a lack of understanding of anatomy or attempting to place too large of a volume of transferred fat. During a Brazilian butt lift, if the injector lacks knowledge of the anatomy or tries to place too large of a volume, they can damage and veins of the buttocks and inject fat into these veins. When fat is injected into these veins and the fat travels to the heart and lungs, this is called a fat embolism and this can result in death. I encourage you to only see board certified plastic surgeons for these procedures, not other non-plastic surgeons with limited expertise and training in this anatomy. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Do plastic surgeons do breast implants?

Plastic surgeons are the only surgeons that have received the proper training to perform breast implant surgery. Cosmetic surgeons and other surgeons who have not had the appropriate training provided by plastic surgery residency may not be able to handle all of the variations and complications that can come from the procedure. • How can I lose my arm fat?

Arm liposuction is an incredibly effective way to address stubborn arm fat. Call for your consultation today! Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Does fat come back after lipo?

No, fat does not grow back or return after liposuction. In fact, liposuction removes fat cells permanently and the remaining cells do not divide to produce more fat cells. This is what makes liposuction a powerful tool, it has the ability to permanently destroy fat cells. Call for your consultation today! Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • How long does it take to recover from arm lift surgery?

Arm lift surgery has a recovery period of 6 weeks. At around 1-2 weeks, most of the initial pain has resolved and you will feel more comfortable and likely be able to return to work with no heavy lifting. It takes 6 weeks for the incisions to fully heal and for you to return to heavy lifting. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Can you get rid of hip dips with surgery?

This depends on what you mean by "hip dips". Surgery can be used to fill in some contour changes or depression with a procedure such as fat grafting. If you are referring to cellulite. There is not consistent and consensus treatment for cellulite. Hope this helps. If truly interested I recommend you have a consultation with a plastic surgeon. READ MORE

  • Can you drink coffee after breast augmentation?

Sure!! The only concern for coffee is that it is a diuretic and can make you urinate. In some procedures there is more concern for fluid shifts and losses which may result in some surgeons recommending that you limit coffee or caffeine consumption. Luckily for you a breast augmentation is not one of those procedure. Enjoy the brew! I encourage to ask your individual plastic surgeon for any specific questions regarding your procedure. READ MORE

  • Can you get fat transferred to your hips?

Yes, you can have fat transferred to your hips and buttocks. The procedure is called a Brazilian butt lift and it can help improve the shape of the hips and buttocks and improve their relationship to your waist. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE

  • Can you get rid of long ear lobes?

Yes, you can revise earlobes. Over time, due to heavy earrings or simply gravity and age, the earlobes can become lax and sag. There are small procedures that can be performed to reduce the size and rejuvenate the earlobe. You would need to have a plastic surgeon perform a physical exam to give you a specific plan for your individual questions. READ MORE

  • How long do butt injections last?

This is a difficult question to answer as it requires more information. "Butt injections" can mean anything from fat transfer and Brazilian butt lifting to silicone injection. Silicone injection should not be done under any circumstances, so I will skip that. Fat transfer or fat grafting, theoretically can last forever as it is your own tissue. However, as you gain weight or lose weight, you can expect to see some changes. READ MORE

  • Can you get plastic surgery for hip dips?

Without seeing you or pictures, it is difficult to determine if plastic surgery will help. I am not sure if "hip dips" are dimples or other structural issues. For dimpling, fat grafting can be used to try to smooth out certain areas. I recommend that you see another board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation. Cedric Hunter, MD READ MORE
