A seasoned Minnesota-based psychiatrist, Dr. Hansen works with patients in his fee-for-service telehealth private practice, the Hansen Neuropsychiatric Clinic, P.A. Specializing in developmental, neurobiological, and ecological medicine, his care focuses on helping patients and their families challenged by heritable and other complex medical problems impacting brain function and development.
Dr. Hansen earned his medical degree in 1979 from the University of Minnesota – Minneapolis Medical School. He was a resident in psychiatry at the same educational venue through 1982; and then, he completed his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center of the Yale School of Medicine in 1984.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Hansen is the President and Owner of Developmental Neurobiology and Ecology, Inc., dba MEND. MEND Solutions(TM) are brain health products, providing people with better ways to enjoy healthy brains and lives.
Dr. Hansen also founded the Hansen Institute for Advanced Study and Action (HIASA), a 501-c-3 non-profit foundation, focused on brain health, education and research.
