A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Golden Key Honor Society, and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Moreover, he is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, whose mission is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Bharti graduated from medical school at East Tennessee State University – Quillen College of Medicine. Following completion of medical school, he and his family moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he completed his residency in plastic surgery at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He went on to become a Chief Resident in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, performing more than 5,000 procedures alongside world-renowned physicians.
After residency, Dr. Bharti held a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at East Tennessee State University – Quillen College of Medicine, where he had a busy aesthetic & reconstructive practice. During that time, he mentored numerous medical students and surgical residents at the college.

An avid supporter of the American Cancer Society, the doctor has taken part in the Real Men Wear Pink Making Strides Campaign, has been an active participant in planning Hope Gala fundraising events with his wife, as well as has served as Chair of the Signature Chefs event for the March of Dimes organization.
