Dr. Ravinder Bachireddy founded The Heart Institute of East Texas in 1982. He, along with colleagues, brought state of the art technologies to Lufkin and developed it as a regional Cardiovascular hub. He is committed to transforming CV Care in Deep East Texas. His practice was awarded the TMF Physician Practice Quality Improvement Gold Award in 2019. As Cardiology Champion, Dr. Bachireddy led the team at CHI Memorial to earn the American College of Cardiology’s highest accreditation, “the HeartCARE Center of National Distinction designation” (2018, 2019, 2020), “PIONEER award” and highest accreditations in Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Cath Lab with PCI & Electrophysiology.

He is also a respected staff physician at Woodland Heights Medical Center.

Dr. Bachireddy’s academic journey began at Osmania Medical College, where he earned his Medical Degree in 1973. Following this, he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Albert Einstein College Bronx/Lebanon Hospital between 1975 and 1980. 

Board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine, Dr. Bachireddy is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Moreover, he is a Diplomate of both the National Board of Echocardiography and the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine.
