  • Could she get pregnant even if we don't have sex?

    Don't worry. She took precautions with the morning after pill. Besides, she had her period. It's doubtful that she is pregnant. However, you are correct. Close contact without ejaculation could allow for emission of sperm. Be careful in the future. READ MORE

    Your symptoms don't necessarily mean that you are pregnant. You could have symptom because of the impending menses. Repeat the urine pregnancy test in 1-2 weeks. If still negative with continued symptoms, see you Gynecologist. READ MORE

    Dilation of the cervix in pregnancy is basically a function of uterine contractions. If this is your first baby and you are at term, viz. 37-41 weeks, don't expect to dilate until you start contracting regularly. Aerobic exercises such as walking, riding a bike, motion or stationary, or swimming may help. If none of this helps, it is because it just is not your time yet. READ MORE

  • Can I be pregnant and still have a heavy period with clots?

    Bleeding in pregnancy generally is thought to be abnormal. It is by definition called a threatened abortion (miscarriage). Some women may have bleeding in the first trimester (up to 12 weeks), Heavy bleeding with clots would be of greater concern. You should consult your obstetrician.     Generally, if you have a discharge without associated symptoms of odor, irritation or itching, this is probably normal. It may be clear, mucus like what comes from your nose. You may want to see your Obstetrician for an exam. READ MORE

    It is not good or bad. I would suggest that you eat smaller meals 3 to 5 times daily. A meal may be 1/2 sandwich, a small salad or just a piece of fruit. Try not to let yourself get too hungry. READ MORE

    Not to my knowledge. However, the baby can hear your voice and respond to your voice immediately after delivery. READ MORE

  • Bartholin's cyst?

    It is possible that you have another Bartholin's Gland cyst. There are many duct systems to this gland. So it is possible for another cyst in this same gland. You may need a special procedure called a Marsupilation or an excision of the gland. Follow up with your doctor. READ MORE

  • Is it possible to get your period first month of pregnancy?
