About
I am a retired Neonatal-Perinatal Physician residing in Winter Garden, FL. I was born and raised in Delhi, went to the best medical school in India, Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, and specialised in Obstetrics & Gynecology. I remain passionate about preventing death and disability in pregnant women measured as Maternal Mortality Rate. I came to USA in 1983 and trained as Pediatrician for three years and than specialised in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Neonatal Nutrician at University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. I championed for bringing advanced perinatal principles, that we learn from large tertiary-care/University centers, to these communities hospitals where most of the care to prgnaant mothers and their babies is being delivered. I started several new Neonatal Intensive Care Units, NICUs, over my 35 year career and able to show a significant reduction in perinatal mortality and morbidity rates and other care outcome indices. I shared my outcome data to my hospital teams and community civic organizations, and presented this information at local, regional, national & international medical conferences. After retirring from active clinic practise in September of 2020, I am keeping myself productively busy by travelling, philanthropic work, spiritual growth and having geart time spending with four adult childrens and six grandchildren. I am currently the Medical Service Officer at Matthew's Hope, a homeless service center, providing all basic needs including medical care for these poor, down-troden, unfortunate human beings. I also have been working with Rotary International as a local club member, for last 28 years to improve the societal health indicators. I am a great colobrator, truth seeker and immesely curios person who loves solving complex problems and remain opotimistic about future of Humanity.
