Dr. Looney is a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist with University Hospital, located in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Looney is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology, and Vascular & Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). As a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist, Dr. Looney uses several tools to precisely target and treat disease, as well as performs procedures to provide quality, efficient and personalized radiographic care to the people of the CSRA. Some of the procedures that he performs include percutaneous tumor ablation, image guided biopsies, transjugular liver biopsies, and arterial/venous embolization – among others.
