Daniel G. Rosen, MD, MEd, serves as a Clinical Adjunct Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Houston College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, a role he embraced in 2019. He is also the Associate Director of the Pathology Residency Program (2012-present) and an Associate Professor in Pathology (2011-present) at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Dr. Rosen additionally serves as a pathologist with Michael E. Debakey V.A. Medical Center in Houston, TX, which he joined in 2011.
A board-certified pathologist, Dr. Rosen is well known for his skills in translational research, oncology, clinical pathology, molecular biology, and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT). In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Rosen is actively participating in numerous research projects. According to the official website of the University of Houston, his interests include “validation of markers for tumors of unknown primary, development and validation of assays to predict the risk of metastatic disease in esophageal and colorectal cancer, and validation of high-resolution microendoscopy for the management of esophageal neoplasia.”
Dr. Rosen attended the University of Buenos Aires Faculty of Medicine (Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de Buenos Aires) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and acquired his medical degree in 1993. In 2002, he relocated to the United States, where he joined the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center as a postdoctoral fellow. Moreover, Dr. Rosen completed a fellowship in breast pathology in 2010. In 2016, he earned a Master of Education (MEd) degree from the University of Houston in Houston, TX. In addition to English, Dr. Rosen speaks spanish.
Dr. Rosen pursued his board-certification in anatomical pathology with the American Board of Pathology (ABPath), which he attained in 2010. The American Board of Pathology (ABPath) is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.The American Board of Pathology administers two “primary examinations”: one examination in anatomic pathology and one in clinical pathology, where candidates pursuing combined certification are required to take both.
