At the start of her academic career, Dr. Saqib graduated with her medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan in 1990. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2005 and 2006, respectively. 

Named a 2020 Top Doctor by Women in Medicine, Dr. Saqib is a member of the Florida Psychiatric Society, the American Psychiatric Association, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.
