His work in Genetics was published and continues to be frequently cited in reputable Genetics and science journals to this day (Cabezas Syndrome). His current focus is to enhace the health of St. Augustine residents. He is aiming to help unload patient volumes from the St. Augustine's crowded Emergency Departments. He firmly believes that he and his team, can prevent unnecessary visits to these Emergency Departments by caring and educating patients. In addition, he envisions working together with St. Augustine's primary care providers to help see their patients when their schedules do not permit, meeting their urgent care needs. He is assembling a team of providers who share and support his vision. Dr. Cabezas also enjoys working with youth and young adults. He is deeply involved with his local church in this endeavour as he believes there is a legacy to pass on that can improve all aspects of our society.
