Get to know General Dentist Dr. Christopher Hoffpauir, who serves patients in Alvin, Texas.

Dr. Hoffpauir is a general dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Winning Smiles in Alvin, Texas. “At Winning Smiles, our team of dental professionals strive to work with patients so that they receive expert dental care in a calm, caring, and relaxed environment. Our goal is to provide superior-quality care at affordable prices” as stated by the practice’s website. 

Dr. Hoffpauir believes that every person should have a smile they feel proud to display in a comfortable and convenient manner. Because of this, he works with patients of all ages, providing treatment for all types of dental needs. He has a special interest in utilizing the latest dental technology and helping patients with dental phobia overcome their fears. 

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston – Clear Lake with a degree in molecular and cellular biology, Dr. Hoffpauir went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch. His education has involved receiving the Houston Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award for Excellence in Continuing Education, as well as the creation of a virtual histology and microbiology course that was later published. In his spare time, Dr. Hoffpauir enjoys spending time with his wife and high school sweetheart, Amanda (Owner of Alvin Animal Clinic), and their two children – Valen and Fiona. 

Dr. Hoffpauir is a member of the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Laser Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also a certified provider through the ECO-Dentistry Association, as well as one of 19 nominees for Texas Dentist of the Year. Additionally, Dr. Hoffpauir is a recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (Bronze 2007, Silver 2008), and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award in 2013.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. A general dentist, like Dr. Hoffpauir, is a primary care dental provider who diagnoses, treats, and manages patients’ overall oral health care needs, including gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and preventive education. “Each patient has a different story and I enjoy getting to know each and every one of them. I love my job and what I do” as stated by Dr. Hoffpauir.
