Get to know Neurologist Dr. Nazar H. Haidri, who serves patients in Union, New Jersey.

Board-certified neurologist, Dr. Haidri, helps people who are experiencing illness or disorders associated with the nervous system. Since 1984, he has been serving patients at his private practice in Union, New Jersey. 

The doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also board certified in Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He also holds sub-specialty certifications in headache medicine and neuro-imaging through the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Union County Medical Society, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Headache Society, and the American Society of Neuro-imaging.

Back in 1961, Dr. Haidri earned his medical degree from the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore in India. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Mercy Hospital, followed by his residency in neurology at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Professionally, he has served as an Assistant Chief and then Chief of Neurology at Madigan Army Medical Center in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
