Dr. Chioma Iheagwara, affectionately known as Dr. Chi, is making waves in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, working as the Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Partial Program at the esteemed Belmont Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

A distinguished alumna of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, she further honed her skills at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she earned her medical degree. Her passion for psychiatric care blossomed during her residency training at Temple University and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. Her commitment to the well-being of children and adolescents is evident in her roles as volunteer faculty at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson University, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Iheagwara serves as the President of the Regional Council of Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her leadership in this role ensures that the highest standards of care are maintained and that innovative approaches are continually implemented to enhance patient outcomes.

Recognized as an expert in mental health and child advocacy, she is deeply involved in various administrative committees at Belmont Behavioral Health System. She tirelessly champions for the rights of her patients and their families, striving to create a nurturing and supportive environment for those in need of psychiatric care.
