Dr. Khaksarfard graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in zoology in 1999. He continued his education at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2003. During his dental education, Dr. Khaksarfard was a member of the American Student Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He also received an honorary award for “Excellence in Clinical Performance” while attending dental school. This award is highly recognized by the Ohio State University, as only 4 students out of the entire school receive it each year.
After graduation, Dr. Khaksarfard enrolled at the Institute at Heartland Dental Care in Effingham, Illinois for training in cosmetic dentistry. He also attended many continuing education seminars and obtained certifications in dental implant placement and restoration, Invisalign treatment, surgical techniques, as well as the latest technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of root canals.
The American Dental Association (ADA) has recognized Dr. Khaksarfard as a “Top Dentist” in the U.S. from 2009-2012. Founded in 1859, the not-for-profit ADA is the nation’s largest dental association, representing more than 161,000 dentist members. Since then, the ADA has grown to become the leading source of oral health related information for dentists and their patients.
Dr. Khaksarfard is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Columbus Dental Society.
