Rex Ghassemi, MD is an aesthetic laser vein specialist serving patients in New Jersey. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Dr. Ghassemi is an accomplished physician and educator. In regards to his education, he graduated with honors from Paramus High School and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Wanting to further his knowledge in the field, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia in 1991. From there, he completed his fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1994 and Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1995.

As such, he specializes in advanced vascular procedures, which include vascular laser therapy for the treatment of varicose veins, laser ablation, and body countouring. He also specializes in advanced catheter based techniques including angioplasty, laser ablation, and ambulatory phlebectomy.
In addition to serving as the medical director at ACP Vein Center in Wayne, he serves as Medical Director of the Cardiovascular lab at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital. He also maintains privileges as an attending physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Ghassemi serves as a proctor and teaches the method of laser varicose vein treatment to other physicians and residents. He has served as a clinical instructor of medicine on the faculty of Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia since 1991 and has been active in teaching medical residents at St Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center for over 25 years.
