What do I need to do in the week leading up to surgery to prepare?
Normally, your surgeon is supposed to provide you with written instructions. Since that is not the case, I instruct my patients: To avoid taking Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, vitamin E, and other anti-inflammatory drugs that may cause bleeding at least one week prior to the surgery date.
