Dr. Wesley Drew Chapman is a doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM) specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the foot, ankle, and related structures of the leg. He treats common foot conditions including bunions, hammertoe, plantar fasciitis, and neuroma, as well as injuries to the foot and ankle, such as sprains and stress fractures.

Podiatrists usually complete four years of medical training in podiatry and three years of hospital residency training; they may specialize in a variety of fields, including surgery, sports medicine, wound care, pediatrics, and diabetic care.

Dr. Wesley Drew Chapman can perform forefoot procedures and reconstruction with the use of both internal and external fixation. He has trained with both internal and external fixation technique for rear foot and ankle trauma and limb salvage. He can also use multi-planar ring, rail, and pin-to-bar external fixation constructs.

Dr. Chapman has trained in limb deformity correction with external fixation in the foot and ankle. He is proficient in ankle arthroscopy and extremely well versed in the management of diabetic disease manifestations in the lower extremity including infection and Charcot neuroarthopathy.

He works very comfortably in the interdisciplinary setting and has a firm grasp of the medical management of the perioperative patient. Dr. Chapman is comfortable with the reading and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic studies including radiologic, neurologic, and vascular studies.
