A leader in soft tissue and athletic injury & a respected chiropractic physician, Dr. Renick is the Owner of Renick Chiropractic and Soft Tissue Clinic. Recognized for his vast training and experience helping world class athletes and soft tissue cases, he has patients from all over South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Respected in his field, he understands the direct relationship of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves to the spine, knees, shoulders and other joints of the body. Regarding his educational background, Dr. Renick obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy from Westminster College, and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northlake College. In addition to studying massage therapy, he extensively studied Myofascial Therapy at Parker University with one of the leading experts & authors, Dr. Jeffery Rockwell who worked with its founder, Janet Travell, MD.
Now known as Whiplash Injury Biomechanics and Traumatology, Dr. Renick received Master’s Certification in CAD Soft Tissue Injury from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, California; one of only a few to complete the training in the southeast.
After following the recent developments in the newest soft tissue & athletic injury methods, Active Release Techniques (ART), Dr. Renick pursued training in ART and completed credentialing at the Active Release Techniques Institute in Colorado Springs in all three core disciplines of ART: spine, upper and lower extremities. He also completed all advanced ART training including Biomechanics, Nerve Entrapment, Active Palpation, and the Master’s program.
Certified in chiropractic & physical therapeutics, Dr. Renick holds licenses in both South Carolina & Texas. He has additional post-graduate training in rehabilitation, diagnosis, scoliosis, biomechanics, Gonstead techniques & methodology, nutrition, weight management, and anti-aging.
A member of the Elite Provider Network (EPN) and Corporate Provider Network (CPN) for ART, he cares for employees directly in Columbia factories, addressing workers compensation issues and preventing work injuries.
