Wendel Plastic Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee, offering services ranging from facelift and eyelid rejuvenation to tummy tuck and breast augmentation.

With over two decades of experience, Dr. Wendel has a reputation for providing excellent care and amazing results. Well-known for his bedside manner, professionalism, and level of care, Dr. Wendel holds hospital privileges at: Atrium Plastic Surgery Center, Centennial Medical Center, Centennial Sarah Cannon Surgery, Centennial Surgery Center, Centennial Women & Children’s Hospital, Cool Springs Surgery Center, Skyline Medical Center, and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is a member of a number of professional organizations. These include: the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Tennessee Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.

Academically, Dr. Wendel graduated with high honors from Wabash College. He then received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was elected membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. Furthering his education, he completed his general surgery prerequisite training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and his fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.

Subsequent to his training, he attained board certification in plastic surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

A leader in plastic surgery, Dr. Wendel writes expert questions at the National Board of Medical Examiners for Plastic Surgery. His work has been featured at surgical conferences and in scientific journals.

A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done. 

Having earned numerous awards and honors over the years, Dr. Wendel has been inducted into the RealSelf 100 & 500 Hall of Fame for high patient ratings and a commitment to consumer education. He was honored with the “Best Cosmetic Surgeon” title in The Tennessean‘s TOAST Readers’ Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017; recognized as a Top Doctor in Nashville Lifestyles magazine from 2016-2019; featured as a finalist for the “Best Doctor for a Nip and Tuck” in the Nashville Scene Best of Nashville poll in 2019; and named one of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors from 2018 to 2020.
