Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Thomas N. Duffy, who serves patients in Darby, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Duffy is a highly trained orthopedic surgeon who cares for the musculoskeletal system: the muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints & bones.

Currently, he is in practice with Mercy Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Darby, Pennsylvania. He also serves as the Section Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

Back in 1994, Dr. Duffy graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He then went on to perform his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in 1995 and 1999, respectively. He furthered his training with a fellowship in sports medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in 2000.

Dedicated to surgical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). The AOBOS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. 

Furthermore, he is board-certified in internal medicine & endocrinology and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Continuously advancing his efforts, Dr. Duffy is an active member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the American Osteopathic Association.
