Can a CT scan of the lungs cause any side effects?
Unless contrast agents are used, you should not anticipate any side effects from the CAT scan other than dealing with the claustrophobia of the test – also, the test does pick up a lot of information that people are not sure what to do with. Often it spots “things” that are not important. But since no one can ever be certain, this often leads to more and more testing, and or surgery, which is of questionable benefit. READ MORE
