Get to know Internist Dr. Lance T. Wallace, who serves patients in Harvey, Illinois.

Dr. Smith is a seasoned internist at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial in Harvey, Illinois. He is also on staff at Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC, in Matteson, IL, and Franciscan Health Olympia Fields in Olympia Fields, IL (2000-present).

A 1990 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale College of Medicine, Dr. Wallace went on to perform his internal medicine residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as Chief Resident in his senior year (1993-1994). Prior to medical school, he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology and Physiology at Northwestern University (1984). 

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties. 

Internal medicine or general internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of internal diseases. 

Dr. Wallace remains an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Illinois State Medical Society.
