The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties. 

Internal medicine or general internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of internal diseases. 

Dr. Wallace remains an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Illinois State Medical Society.
