With a profound commitment to the mental well-being of those who have weathered the storm of traumatic incidents, Dr. Gallivan has carved out a distinguished career as a Licensed Police Psychologist in the State of California. She is the visionary CEO and Founder of Gina Gallivan and Associates, specializing in the realm of trauma psychology.

Having earned her licensure in 2002 and subsequent board certification in Police & Public Safety Psychology in 2011, her journey into the field of law enforcement psychology began at the esteemed Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Here, she not only completed a pre-doctoral internship but also embarked on a post-doctoral fellowship, laying the foundation for her impactful career.

Among her other roles, Dr. Gallivan serves as an Executive Board Member of the Police Psychological Services Section within the International Association of Chiefs of Police. In this influential role, she has conducted numerous pre-employment psychological screenings and fitness for duty evaluations. Her expertise extends beyond assessment, as she actively provides consultation, manages peer support teams, and conducts psychological debriefings for over 60 police and public safety agencies in Southern California.

Throughout her career, she has significantly contributed to the community by serving as the Primary Trauma Responder to several critical incidents. From the harrowing Seal Beach Salon Meritage Mass Shooting to the distressing events surrounding the Christopher Dorner Active Shooter and Manhunt, she has been a steady presence in the aftermath of tragedy. Her resilience and expertise shone through in pivotal moments such as the Santa Monica Active Shooter/Mass Shooting, U.C.L.A. Active Shooter incident, Route 91 Las Vegas Concert Mass Shooting, and the Thousand Oaks Borderline Bar and Grill Mass Shooting.
